The Empathy Agency's Service Offerings
Programs, community, and coaching for nonprofit and movement leaders who want to lead with heart without being exploited.
The work you’re doing is urgent. That doesn’t mean you have to abandon your own needs, values, or nervous system to do it.
Through our service offerings, we create programs and spaces for people leading in nonprofits, grassroots groups, and movements who are ready to practice another way: one that holds equity, boundaries, and care together.

Who is this for?
For the people holding everything together
This is for you if:
- You are a director, manager, organizer, or staff lead in a nonprofit, grassroots group, or movement space
- You’re responsible for people and/or programs and feel the weight of doing “the right thing” with too few resources
- You’re committed to racial equity and justice, and you’re tired of approaches that reproduce harm in the name of urgency
- You want concrete practices for leading with empathy and boundaries, not just another inspirational webinar
It’s also for organizations and teams who know their leadership culture needs to shift and want a grounded partner in that work.

The Empathetic Nonprofit Leader Lab
This is a small-group, paid cohort for nonprofit and movement leaders who are ready to rethink how they lead, using real situations from your world—staff dynamics, board tension, boundaries, race and power, and the invisible labour you carry. In this leadership Lab, you’ll build shared language for empathy‑centred, anti‑exploitation leadership, try out practical scripts for conversations with staff, peers, and boards, and get clearer on what you will and won’t carry as a leader. Organizations can sponsor one or more leaders and we’ll work with you to align the Lab with your equity and culture goals.

The Empathetic Leadership Circle
The Empathetic Leadership Circle is a paid ongoing community for values-driven leaders who want to lead with empathy without carrying everything alone. Members come here for reflection, peer support, practical language, and grounded conversations about boundaries, staff and team dynamics, race and power, emotional labor, repair, and sustainable leadership. This space welcomes leaders across sectors, including nonprofit, movement, community, education, coaching, and organizational leaders. It is separate from the Lab-connected Empathetic Nonprofit Leaders Circle and created for continued support beyond a single program.

Coaching
Leadership Coaching
Some questions need a quieter, more private room. Our leadership coaching creates dedicated space to navigate complex realities—staff conflict, racial harm, burnout, board dynamics, accountability, transitions, and the personal costs of leading. Rooted in person-centred practice, Afrocentric narrative, and Indigenous wisdom, we invite you to slow down, look beneath the surface, and lead in a way that protects both your people and your principles. Together, we decolonize how you think, work, and live so you can heal, express yourself more fully, and sustain leadership that strengthens lives—personally and professionally.

Racial Empathy Foundations for Coaches
Racial Empathy Foundations for Coaches is a 3-session intensive that helps you explore how race shapes your coaching, name inherited stories about race and equity, and identify concrete shifts toward racial empathy in your practice. Across three 60-minute private sessions, we explore racial identity, social location, values, dominant narratives, grief, anger, and grounding practices. Grounded in Afrocentric narrative, Indigenous wisdom, and soulfulness, Foundations is for coaches ready to move beyond intellectual learning into honest self-examination and practical steps toward practising racial empathy in everyday life.

Racial Empathy Coaching for Coaches
Racial Empathy Coaching for Coaches is an 8‑session private coaching journey that helps coaches recognize, interrupt, and heal from racial harm in themselves, their practice, and their communities so they can lead with integrity and care. Over four months, we work through a structured sequence of sessions on identity, values, story, grief, listening, relating, representation, investing, and repair. You’ll be invited into honest reflection, embodied practice, and concrete changes in how you coach. This coaching is for coaches who are ready to move beyond performative allyship into sustained, accountable racial empathy practice in their work.

Practising Repair: Racial Empathy Integration Sessions
Practising Repair: Racial Empathy Integration Sessions is a follow-on coaching package for graduates of Racial Empathy Coaching for Coaches who want support applying this work in real time. Across four private 60-minute sessions, we focus on the live edges of your practice, including coaching scenarios, relational ruptures, boundaries, and racialized situations with clients and colleagues. Together, we practise repair and accountability, refine listening and relational patterns, stay connected to your racial empathy practice plan, and align your coaching, pricing, partnerships, and policies with your equity commitments. Grounded in the same person-centred, Afrocentric, Indigenous-informed, soulful approach as the core program, these sessions offer space for case consultation, reflection, and practical next steps.

Community & belonging
Leadership can feel isolating, especially when you are one of the only people naming harm, holding equity, or carrying care. These spaces are designed so you don’t have to explain the work first.
Here, belonging is not treated as a buzzword. It is practiced through rest, reflection, cultural grounding, shared language, and spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, their communities, and the futures they are trying to grow.
Through EXHALE... for Black Women, the Everyday FARMER Practices Checklist, and Envision Your Local Garden, you are invited into practices that support healing, imagination, and community care beyond the workplace.

Why work with
The Empathy Agency
The Empathy Agency brings together coaching, facilitation, equity-centred leadership practice, and a deep understanding of the emotional realities of nonprofit and movement work.
Our services support leaders and teams who care deeply about justice, community, and impact, but are tired of leadership models that normalize burnout, overextension, and emotional extraction.
Through one-to-one coaching, workshops, and organizational support, we help leaders practice empathy as more than kindness. Empathy is power, accountability, boundaries, and care in action.
If you’re ready to lead with heart without abandoning yourself, start with the free Empathetic Power Checklist. It will help you reflect on how empathy, boundaries, accountability, and sustainability are showing up in your leadership.
